Charming 5.5 triplex for 3 months in Fribourg

We will be traveling for three months and would like to offer our apartment for rent during this period, from May 1st to July 31st, 2024.

What you will love about this home
Our flat is located in the old town of Fribourg. The building was built in 1600. This gives a very peaceful atmosphere to our home. Being right next to the river Sarine add a calming natural touch to it. . We have a big family bed (270cm) where all the family usually sleeps but there are also two small children room with one child bed and one crib, which can be changed into a small bed (1x 90cmx2m, 1x 70cmx1m). The bedrooms are located on the first floor as well as our newly renovated bathroom, which includes a washing-machine and a tumbler. Be aware, if you are rather tall (1.85m) you might touch the ceiling standing up in the shower! The second floor opens up in a big living-room / dining-room where you can enjoy the sound of the river when the windows are open. The fully equipped kitchen (dish-washer, oven, microwave, etc) is on the same floor and there's an additional toilet too. We are right under the roof but it doesn't get warm in summer even if it's 30°C outside. The third floor is a mezzanine. There's a "guest space" up there with a comfy sofa bed as well as two office desks on the other side of the mezzanine (open space), with WIFI and two screens. Because it's an old building, there are no elevator and quite some stairs, but this keeps you in shape :) On the ground floor there is a terrace with a big table, a big BBQ, a sandbox for the kids and planters with strawberries, tomatoes... The terrace is for all tenants of the building but we don't really need to share. Last but not least, we have two e-bikes, which you'll be able to use. One "normal" one, where you can put a child seat on if needed. And a long-tail e-bike, with two child seats mounted on it.
What you will love about this neighborhood
In our opinion our neighborhood "Auge" is the best area in town. It's such a charming place to live. People say it's like a little village within a town (although Fribourg, with its 40'000 inhabitants already rather small is). In the building, there are two other small apartments and a studio; our direct neighbours are very friendly and quiet. Within 5 minutes walking distance you'll come across a little playground for kids, a football pitch, an Irish pub, a couple of good restaurants, a "board game" café, a beautiful wooden bridge, a "stone beach" by the river (where you can swim although the water stays cold!), a "valley" (du Gottéron), a lovely bakery, a church, a jazz club, a parking lot, a bus stop which will take you to the city center and train station in 8min... and more. People are cheerful around here and it's very easily accessible with public transport or car. You'll probably fall in love with the place just as we did and many others who live here too.
